First let me say, I am terrible at writing bios…but who is actually good at writing them?
So with that flawless beginning, allow me to introduce myself.
I’ve always pretended to be a photographer, ask anyone in my family. I loved taking pictures of fruit bowls and anything that didn’t move. So I wasn’t the best. But somewhere in between thousands of blog posts and online education, I’ve refined my skills.
It wasn’t until about 2 years ago that I really found I had a passion for portraits (me having a passion, that’s nonsense!). I purchased my first DSLR with the intention of taking photos of the products that I made for my budding knitting company. It wasn’t long before I was hooked and asking everyone I knew to step in front of my camera so I could practice. Shortly after, I launched C&E Collective, my little pet project.
I have to say, it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Photographing weddings, engagements and families makes my heart skip a beat. I absolutely LOVE it. I’m pretty positive it’s what I was meant to do.
Enough about the business and a little bit more about me. If you hadn’t guessed already, I love to knit. My husband and I recently started a record collection and we also go to bed really early, so yes, we’re basically seniors and that’s the way we like it. We own a little dog named Gus who is a human trapped in a cockapoo’s body. My brother calls me a self proclaimed yogi (I’m currently trying to hold a hand stand for longer than 5 seconds so if you have any tips please tell me). My bobblehead collection ranges from the Pope to Yoda. Oh, speaking of Yoda, I’m a new Star Wars fan (you may catch me in public with my star wars yoga pants on and I’m okay if you judge me for that). I am obsessed with the Office and also recently Parks + Rec, both which make me cry from laughter. Oh, and I collect pens (wow I’m really making myself sound so exciting here so maybe I should stop while I’m ahead).
There you have it! Congratulations on reading through all of that (did I mention I’m not a reader?), so seriously, kudos, I would never have made it.
